Children and Young People’s Independent Violence Advisor’s
This mean’s we can support young women under the age of 18 who have experienced rape of sexual violence, or under 25 years of age for those with a learning disability.
Bright Futures now have two accredited Children and Young People’s Independent Violence Advisor’s (CHISVA’s). This mean’s we can support young women under the age of 18 who have experienced rape of sexual violence, or under 25 years of age for those with a learning disability.
Our CHISVA’S can offer both practical and emotional support, a listening service, accurate and impartial information and support with the criminal justice system. We understand that each client will have different needs, therefore the support is uniquely tailored to the person. We aim to meet with client’s in the community on a monthly basis, however we appreciate that these sessions often need to be increased due to up and coming court trials etc. Although the majority of our referrals are received from professionals we are happy for client’s to self-refer into the service. At present this service is only accessible to those residing in South Tyneside.
If you have any further questions relating to this provision please contact Bronwen Howard (07484904675) or Toni-Leigh Pearson (07483327859) or alternatively you can request a referral form below our contact our Administrator (0191 455 1196).
