Girls Standing Up is an award-winning project which is dedicated to empowering young women to embrace their identities and tackle gender-specific challenges with confidence and resilience. Designed to amplify young women’s voices, the project enables them to take an active role in shaping social change. Girls Standing Up is inherently youth-led and as such the young women involved in the project have led and delivered a wide range of dynamic projects, supporting and influencing their local community. Including but not limited to: the award-winning ‘Are U sexist’ cards, body positivity magazine and ‘Safer Streets: Voices for Change’ video project.
