Bright Futures are an accredited centre with One Awards delivering a range of qualifications.
We work in secondary schools, colleges and with community groups across Tyne and Wear delivering accredited courses including the following short courses, Life and Social Development, Managing and Maintaining Healthy Relationships and Young Women’s Safety Programme.
Life and Social Development aims to increase young women’s confidence and self-esteem and educate young women around a range of issues including stereotyping and self-identity, alcohol and substance misuse, sexual health, healthy relationships and teenage pregnancy.
Managing and Maintaining Healthy Relationships is a programme which aims to inform young women about relationships and how to manage a healthy/unhealthy relationship and spot early signs of an abusive relationship.
Bright Futures Young Women’s Safety Programme is aimed to increase young people’s awareness particularly around relationships, online safety, grooming, and sexual exploitation. As well as delivering education/prevention work – assemblies can be delivered to year groups in secondary schools across Tyne and Wear.
All courses are delivered over either 3 or 6 sessions.
As part of our education work – we worked closely with Fixers charity and a volunteer to create an education resource to be used with younger children, highlighting the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships.
